Photographers biography
For most people this is the boring bit so if you are so affected feel free to skip to another page.
I first started in photography about 1960 when my late Father introduced me to the mysteries of the Weston Master III exposure meter for black and white film. He had a home built black and white darkroom in a cupboard.
My first cameras was a 35mm Practica Nova but I moved on to Olympus and then medium format cameras such as Mamiya, Hasselblad and Bronica.
Digital images are now made on Nikon kit but I still try to get the image 'right' in camera with minimal manipulation on a computer. Scanned transparencies always need to have spots or dust removed or possibly some cropping but beyond that I try to stick to the original image that I saw at the time.
